Sunday 14th October Screen Printing with Gerard Campbell

10:00am to 15:00pm Cost: £40

Starting with just your hand drawn designs, learn to reproduce your own prints at our photographic screen printing workshop. Gerard Campbell will introduce you to a process which allows you to transfer your designs onto cotton bags, paper, mouse mats etc and create your own posters, prints, cards and textiles. All abilities welcome.

There is a £2 charge for cotton bags, if required

 

Sunday 21st October Mono Printing with Anna Tosney

10:00am to 15:00pm Cost: £40

An Introduction to three simple techniques: Offset, Addition and Reduction Monoprinting.  Printmaker Anna Tosney will lead this exciting day of Monoprinting, using tools and equipment that you can find at home. The results are unique pieces of artwork for you to take home. Please bring any images, objects, sketches or ideas for inspiration.  All abilities welcome.

 

Sunday 11th November Bookbinding with Kate Bowles

10:00am to 15:00pm Cost: £40

 Learn to make beautiful bound books using techniques to create an open spine note book. Experienced book binder Kate Bowles will show you how to make an A5 book that will make a lovely gift. Students are required to bring: 30 pages of assorted A4 paper, decorative paper or fabric to cover your book 2 X A5 sheets and ribbons 1cm to 1.5cm wide.  All abilities welcome.

 

 Sunday 18th November Drypoint Printing with Anna Tosney

10:00am to 15:00pm Cost: £40

 An Introduction to Drypoint Printing – A printmaking technique, in which, lines are scratched directly into the surface of a metal or plastic plate using a sharp steel point.  This causes a burr to be pushed up, like the furrow of a ploughed field. Anna Tosney will take you through the stages of making a printing plate and making your own prints. Please bring any images, objects, sketches or ideas for inspiration.  All abilities welcome.

 

Sunday 2nd December Fused Glass Decorations with Jo Whitehead

10:00am to 15:00pm Cost: £40

 Create your own fused glass Christmas decorations using float and Bullseye glass. This workshop will take you through the processes of designing, cutting and making decorations to hang from your tree, in your window or on your wall. Glass artist Jo Whitehead will give step by step guidance and fuse your creations in her glass kiln.  All abilities welcome. There will be a small charge of £3 for students wishing to have their work posted out to them after the workshop.
