I've been using our humble office scanner to create artwork with the kids this week. Completely mess free, it's a great way to introduce children to digital art.
It's been a while since I last had a good old rant on my blog, but this post probably qualifies. So for anyone who's ever wondered what the point of art education is in a tough economic climate, this post aims to point out some of the benefits - some of them obvious, some not so obvious....

I was messing about with paint together with the kids and accidentally 'discovered' a really simple way of creating a personalised Valentine's card which even the youngest children can contribute to. I'm quite pleased with the result....

Over the last week or so I'd collected a whole stack of beautiful Autumn leaves for no particular reason other than the fact that they were so beautiful - especially with the colours made even brighter by sunlight or wet with the rain. So having got them all home I had to do something creative with them. In the end I did several different things, with the help of a laminator.
