UK handmade jewellery designs
I love that I live in a country that is so full of very talented and creative people and we should all stand on the roof tops and let everyone know how good UK handmade is instead of quietly sitting back
There are some very beautiful pieces of unique and original handmade jewellery that has been made all over the world and I have seen may stalls at craft fairs selling “handcrafted jewellery “that they say they have created themselves and it is obvious that these designs were…

DreamDifferently
Hello everyone,
I thought that I would introduce myself. My name is Clare and I make the pieces that you see on this website. I have a unique reason for my passion in crafting. I suffer from a stress and anxiety disorder and i started crafting to keep my hands busy and my panic attacks under control. This has turned into a more than a passion and coping measurement, I have started my own business! I will try to blog regularly on the pieces that I am posting and the things that I am…

Purple 'Deco Glamour' scrapbook album finally sells out!
As a designer / maker you are always at the mercy of suppliers. A beautiful paper or embellishment comes along which fits an idea or product perfectly and then, without warning, the paper is discontinued and you are left pulling your hair out! This album has been a best seller for me for some time now, the combination of gorgeous purple Art Deco Indian handmade paper and pretty sequin ribbon and faux gem is so pretty.…

1st item listed in shop!!!!!
I have just listed my first item in my shop, finished knitting it yesterday. The colour is a really vibrant fuchsia, looks great aginst black, it feels lovely and soft and the ruffles add great texture & depth making it really luxurious. This is a single scarf knitted just using one ball of scarf yarn,I am going to start a double scarf today using 2 balls, can't wait to see what it looks like.…

My name is Lynn Smith and although I currently have to work full-time, all my passion and spare time is poured into my little bear business. Up until July 2011 I had never attempted to create anything with a needle and thread... I knew that I just couldn't sew. Although I love all things textile (and almost went to the Scottish textile college) I just thought that only terribly clever people could sew. I have always been what some may call 'arty farty' and I am good at drawing and painting…

Summer Hobo Bag
Hi everyone
I've just joined today and would like to share my creations with you.
My name is Lynda and I live in the Scottish Borders, where I have been making jewellery, sewing bags and some other handmade crafts.
I've set up an online shop with Folksy and have been filling it up with my creations such as my summer hobo bag, which I completed last night.
I would love to hear from other like minded souls about their creations and success stories of online…

Saying 'Marry Me?" with a scrapbook of memories - how romantic!

I am constantly surprised by how products emerge, develop and take on an identity of their own - all driven by my lovely clients. Each one seems to take a product I currently offer and tailor it to their individual needs and so create different bi-products (if that is the correct term!) and I absolutely love this!
In the Autumn of last year I was approached by a wonderful young man who wanted to use a handmade scrapbook album as a 'tool' to propose to his childhood…

New designs.

This is one of the latest pieces that I have handmade to add to my collection.
I know that spring is on its way and I should be designing brighter coloured pieces but I have a few of these Quartz beads left and I thought the semi-precious Tigers Eye complimented it beautifuly

Having a look around
I have just spent another relaxing hour on UKhandmade looking around at what all the clever people have been making.
I love to curl up in the chair with my laptop on my knee and a cup of coffee at my side having a look at what everyone is up to.
There are so many pretty things in the gallery to look at and there seems to be more and more crafts being shown which is great as it is nice to see how creative people can be.
So anoth relaxing hour well spent

Time Flies!
It's been a busy month or so offline what my my husband's chemotherapy resuming and me coming down with a horrible flu bug: thankfully we are both on the mend now and I've been busy creating new pieces of jewellery and accessories which are now on my Tazeen Designs website!
I'm looking at locally sourcing gemstones to incorporate in my bracelets and pendants etc; I'm also busy sketching new designs for future…

Preparing for Craft Fair
This Saturday I will be selling my wares at Hebden Bridge Craftaganza at Holme St Art Centre (Holme St).
I have traded at this particular event several times and love it, as its local and there are so many other talented people to socialise with.
I have been super busy making new items for this Mothers Day Craft fair.
I do like to make new products for every new fair so returning customers have something new to look at or purchase.

Been away a while
I have been away on my holidays and have been back nearly a week and I am finding it very hard to get back into the swing of things.
I made myself sit down yesterday to start and plan my spring collection and as soon as my semi-precious beads came out I was in the mood for work again.
The sun was shining through my studio window so that is always a help and here are a few of the things that I made yesterday.…
