I have been spending my evenings making eyemasks out of the remnants of silk I accumulate. The colour is a wonderful change for me because most of my wedding work is ivory! I couldn't resist adding in some print alongside the silks to make a vibrant combination. I've test driven one of my original samples and I can safely say they're very soft and comfortable :)

Here's a few individual ones...…

I've decided to crochet a cute baby jacket out of
Rowan Wool Cotton (50% merino wool & 50% cotton) in 'Antique' and 'Clear' (cream and grey), which I'll add either pink or blue to when we've had our next baby scan in 3 or 4 weeks, and hopefully we'll know if we're having a boy or a girl!
The pattern is from the collectable set:

I’m always on the looking for new cost-effective ways of displaying children’s artwork, and I recently devised this one. I’m sure it’s not original, but I’m quite pleased with it nonetheless, so thought I would share it here.

So, what have I been up to this week? Well I have a sense of achievement because I finally completed my Travel Journal from our holiday last month. This was very much an organic process - I started it without any real preconceived idea of what the finished thing would be like, and as I've worked on it, I've had new ideas which have been added and incorporated. It's been a real labour of love, and I think it's probably unlikely that I'll do it for every holiday, but I've gained a great deal of…

This bear is totally handmade and recycled. It is made from recycled fabrics and even the stuffing is recycled. Great for the environment and totally cute.
I can make this bear in any fabric, if you have a fabric you love I can transform it into one of these cute bears.
They will be £50 each (including P&P to the UK).

I'm busy setting up a folksy shop at the moment and was wondering if anybody has any advice they think might be useful.
I have a passion or it might be better described as an obsession with vintage fabric especially vintage sheets, but if I keep collecting them at the rate I'm going you soon won't be able to move in our little house. So I'm hoping to start a folksy shop selling wares made using them. You can read more about it here…

For those of you who like, appreciate and buy the wonderful and whimsical art of Suzanne Woolcott of Gorjuss art, you may be aware that Suzanne has been very ill for quite some time. In fact Suzanne underwent a very serious spine operation a year ago that did not go well. It left her with a hole in her spine and consequently many complications, not least of which contracting meningitis. Throughout it all, both her and Grant soldiered on, creating art, running their business and caring for their…
