There’s no reason for kids to stop being creative if you go away on holiday. Even if you stay at home the (hopefully) long sunny summer days, and extra time that the summer holidays bring, provide the perfect opportunity to experiment with a bit of land art.

I was in desperate need for a large workbasket that could accomodate different types of projects and the paraphanalia that is needed for each craft.
Running out of time, I remembered that one of the supermarkets did an eco friendly jute bag in a nice large size. First visit to said supermarket, no jute bags at the till.
Next visit to the supermarket and it was hubby who remembered about the bag and found one on the checkout station.…

There's something about handmade soap that makes me want to eat it! Don't worry I never have, it just looks so asthetically pleasing that it looks edible. I have to admit that I know nothing about soap making but love to buy it for our home or for gifts.
Now it seems that aswell as many fragrance combinations there are different processes involved in soap making, including traditional cold and hot process soaps, glycerin or natural liquid soaps.

We’re a little quieter this month and not doubling up on weekends for all the classes people want. Although we are spending the month sorting out the Autumn term, which will have lots of fab new classes in. Ones confirmed so far include a series of knitting classes, bead Christmas ornaments and memory wire jewellery, as well as a number of DIY classes such as Tiling, putting up shelves and wallpaper, using power tools etc.

This month’s Featured Artist is a picture of Prince Charming by Eve, aged 3 1/2 (the writing was added by Daddy) which was contributed by Niffabird. According to Eve, Prince Charming has red lipstick and jewels in his hair (apparently Prince Charming likes lipstick). Make of that what you will!
