
This is the latest piece, entirely hand made from thought into stitch!
The piece has used a modern tool( the craft soldering iron) to re-create an intricate cut-work medalllion. It was very labour intensive, as all 3 layers were cut entirely by hand and free-style. The stitching followed, using soft silk threads.

Wow! Last night at 22.07 I became a Great-Grandmother! My little Granddaughter, Daisy gave birth to a beautiful little girl. All are well, and I'm sure I'll be inspired to add to the Baby things I've already made for her.

Tomorrow I'm meeting the lady who organises the Craft Fairs at Saltram House. I'm takng a selection of my 'wares' and hope she considers them worth putting in the August Summer Fair. Here goes for my first ever blog post .......
for my first handmade rings :)
They are all wire wrapped style with semi-precious stones and south sea shell pearl. The first one things went a little wonky - and getting the ring to be the exact size you want is interesting :) - but I'm getting the hang of it and am quite pleased with the results.

It's here, finally. My first lampshade!
Made from this superb kit that I bought from Duffy London (check them out),
the design was created from scanned dried flowers, (my Dad is really into drying his plants).This particular print is the Lavatera and Dog Rose printed professionaly on lovely matt paper.
