No it can't be Friday already, I request somebody presses rewind as I still have so much to do! Okay, drum roll please...todays Fabric Friday is featuring Heather Ross . I am a huge fan of Heathers work and am planning on trying some more patterns from her book Weekend Sewing over the next few weeks.
Heather Ross grew up in the countryside in northern Vermont learning to sew and knit before she was six and creating clothes for gnomes and herself and friends from a young age. Growing…

Sometimes a song comes along and it seems to encapsulate a moment or mood of your life.
I am constantly listening to songs and some I return to again and again - they become almost like the soundtrack to my life.
I have been playing "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield really loud whilst tidying my kitchen, and the lyrics sum up how I feel at this moment. I feel a Spring clean of my mind is as necessary as a Spring clean of my house.
"I am unwritten, can't read my…

Well, it's been a while hasn't it??!!!
Just been so busy, firstly I decided to try an sell my jewellery at a bigger craft fair, but then realised that I really didn't have enough jewellery. So I've been working practically every evening to get stuff done. Then I've been trying to promote the website etc.
Think things might be paying off though - I had a phone call from the publishers of Marie Claire Magazine asking if I would like to show one of my pieces in their July…

I’m a Designer-Maker from a fine art background now specialising in contemporary collage. My pieces are created using a variety of materials including antique maps, postcards and images from old books. I combine these materials with printed and coloured papers to create bold collages with a strong graphic aesthetic. My interests in architecture, natural history and birds heavily influence the imagery and subject matter present in my work.…

I'm feeling rather proud of myself lately!
Firstly, I've developed what I feel to be pretty good routine in my life. Early mornings before work I catch up with photography and promo work, 9-5 is the day job then when I get home I have boyfriend and me time plus crafting time (usually when the football is on!) Doesn't leave too much pampering time but that can be taken care of on a Sunday afternoon! Pretty good considering that when Is tarted my job I nearly had a panic attack trying…

I’ve had a lot of messages on forums and via Facebook asking me about the stand seen in the pervious post ‘Hidden Secrets’, several have asked where it was purchased and others have asked how it’s made.
The stand was made by me about 4 years ago, it was my first attempt and I’m still amazed at the way it has stood up to being transported, put together and then dismantled, I’ve been doing up to 60 events a year for the last two years, and at a rough guess I would say that this display…

I said I would update the view from my workshop when the camillia was out in full and here it is...Far too nice today to get down to serious work, I finished off a silver and cz ring for myself....An experiment with making a slightly square ring to see if it would stop it revolving, ans still be comfortable.I hate the fact that I spend what seems a significant amount of time a day turning my rings around as the pretty part revolves inwards and so…

Hang out the bunting, grab a cuppa, it's time for Fabric Friday. Today we are celebrating St. Georges Day here in ol' blighty and who other could I pick for my Fabric Friday feature than
Cath Kidston. For me Kidstons fabrics are like a quintessential English Rose brightening up our beige world. The beautiful floral prints mixed with the quirky kids prints are truly inspiring and are great for most projects, especially since the lauch of the…
