I am an artist and designer/maker working in a variety of media. All items featured here were handmade by me in the middle of the UK - some were made in Birmingham, my home town, some were made in Brierley Hill, where I now live with my partner. I learnt many of my skills on a BA Hons Design: Crafts degree, from which I graduated on the 4th of July 2005.
I specialise in metal sculpture, mainly in wire and beads. This usually comes in the form of suncatchers and jewellery. I also create functional sculptures, such as wire hooks and trees to hang your jewellery from. I'm currently in love with cobwebs, bugs, hearts, stars, bats, colour, and more recently, skulls, all of which feature in my work.
I love using reclaimed materials. I scour second-hand shops for old jewellery to repurpose into new, so expect to find reused chain, beads, and other found materials in many of my items. Search "
repurposed" in my Etsy shop for a few of those. I also love acrylic painting, which I have enjoyed since my school days. I now combine it with other media, including different types of paint, glitter, glass outliner, and even wire. I've got a second shop where I sell my paintings on canvas, ACEOs, hand-painted t-shirts and greetings cards.
I also bring the use of reclaimed materials into my painting - in the past I've reused card for my ACEOs, used a second-hand frame to create an entirely new work of art, painted the glass from that frame to create a suncatcher, and so on.
I'm a member of a fabulous street team on Etsy, called Etsy's Dark Side. Click the skully bat to go to the team website:

Members' shops feature the darker, gothic side of things. Check out the
team page for links, and search "
etsydarkteam" on
Etsy for items from Dark Side members.
