Hello - new to UKHandmade in April 2009.

I've been making things - mainly textiles - most of my life, first making my own clothes, then knitting. I joined a textiles class about 16 years ago and discovered spinning and weaving.

I haven't so far sold any of my work, its purely for fun and friends and family.

I am currently [with some friends] setting up a charity project:

We are asking people to donate handmade art and craft items which will be auctioned to raise money for charity. This will be an entirely non-profit making project and we hope to launch May/June 2009.
