The regions of England seem to be getting organised so I thought there should be a group for those living and crafting in Scotland. I have seen one or two on here. Let's get together.

I have an equal passion for Bearmaking, patchwork, applique and quilting, and knitting. The desire to create using one of these methods will always be to the fore and occassionally I get into trouble when two or more are there at the top together. I am pleased to have been accepted in this group to promote, share, and seek advice. Some of your avatars I have seen before in other forums, others I look forward to getting to know in the coming weeks.
It is my intention to get to grips with my website over the quiet spell in January so please do not judge the state of it at the moment. The webmaster is brilliant with the techy stuff but admits to getting lost with the crafty bit, alas that leaves yet another job to me. I am sure others here share the dread of the "office" jobs and prefer the creating side.

The bit they hate

These are not custom bears so are waiting for inspiration to come from me. All too slowly as far as they are concerned. Both were intended to go with a tartan waistcoat I had made but both are too small. I really think I got the cart before the horse there.

Using up yarn.........for me!

Well, you know how it goes. Always making for others and never get around to the things for yourself. I had found a pattern that I liked the style of but not the pattern they chose to use in the knitting.
I had some blackwatch wool that I had traded cream with my ne… Continue

Hi Margaret, thanx for the welcome-appreciated. funnily enough like another new member i'm having trouble with my printer/scanner, so can't upload properly scanned stuff yet! -technology. I will try and experiment with my camcorder, but the result may be a bit fuzzy. Mainly designing at the moment, I'm really looking for commissioned work, but I sometimes use my images for card making, etc. I've got some Xmas ideas going, so here's hoping... :)

Hi Margaret.
Thanks very much for the encouraging comments.
As scary as starting out is, it's also quite exciting, too.

I live in Mulben, Keith. Things are slow at the moment, but that's good because I'm getting organised for exhibiting at Aviemore Trade Show in April. So I am busy making new designs of jewllery and new items.
