Mosaic bowl
This mosaic bowl was inspired by trips to the beach. I found the wooden bowl in a charity shop looking rather tired. It has been given a new lease of life with the mosaic and waxing.

Karen, thanks so much for checking out my shop too. Really pleased to hear that you like my jewellery! To answer your question, I made my first ever piece of jewellery (a simple ring) in December 2008, so just over two years now. Mostly self taught, but my very important first steps were taken at a brilliant jewellery school in Dorset - Flux n Flame. Just wish I could make enough money from it to give up the office day job - soooo dull.
