A Productive Day

I have done all my shows and craft markets so I decided I would list the remainder of my stock on Etsy over the next couple of days.  I know all the advice says to drip feed Etsy daily but I never manage to do that, it all fizzles out too quickly.  So, I decided I would sit for marathon photo sessions, editing and listing sessions.  Take a look at www.bluekilnbeads.etsy.com.  Thanks!

Hi Yvette,

My Folksy shop has been neglected until recently but I'm busy tweeting, blogging and posting to my Facebook page. In fact it is the 'work' I've done writing and conversing and meeting other crafters which has brought me to list new items in my Folksy shop and get my very first sale!

It was a long time coming but I must admit I didn't do a lot of promotion. I've been reprimanded on that so I may do more. Maybe I'll open a shop on Etsy ;)

Hope you can derive some encouragement from my experience and get your first Etsy sale soon.

Talking of Etsy, to find the Virtual Labs just click on Community and you will find the link to the Virtual Labs. If you're lucky you will find one happening right ther as they are Live not recorded. You can ask or answer questions and comment during the session. They are a lot of fun once you get used to the interactive tools and you can learn a lot!

Have fun!

Ooh so sorry Yvette. I've only just seen your question. How are you getting on with your shop?

Have you discovered an Etsy live lab for yourself? I haven't been on one for quite a while as my old laptop was dying. In fact it's been a while since I've been on Etsy... thinking the site is due a visit. Hopefully I'll find you there and see how you are getting on :)

Thank you Yvette for your lovely comment. It comes at a good time and is very encouraging. Good luck with your shops! I've just started mine on Folksy. I'm a member on Etsy too but I'm not planning to open a shop there for now as I feel like a very tiny fish in an ocean there. I like Etsy for their live 'labs' when I can catch one. Have you ever taken part in one?

Thanks for your comment! I started learning lampworking about 6 months ago, and have been renting equipment in a local studio for a couple of hours every month since. I wasn't expecting bead making to be so addictive, but it really is, so I'm currently saving up for my own basic set-up for the garden shed!

Hi Yvette,
Thank you for your lovely comment on my blog! It is great to meet a fellow Wiltshire UK handmade member. I love your glass beads and jewellery designs. I am from just outside Corsham. Are you attached to a group here?
