Welcome to The UK Handmade ATC Swap Group

First of all what are Artist Trading Cards aka ATCs there is a wiki definition for it which is quite self explanatory but here is a video to explain it as well.

So with those explanations in place here are this group’s swaps rules:
. The cards will remain at the recognized size of 2 ½ by 3 ½.
. Once signed up to a swap you must send what is expected of you by the deadline given for the particular swap.
. Only two strikes allowed, anyone not sending cards when they have committed to a swap and are not able to give a satisfactory explanation to the swap's host, will not be allowed to take part in future swaps (two chances only).

There will be a main group swap once per month which will be themed according to a group poll.

Smaller swaps can also be arranged by group members as well.

The ATC is like a decorative business card so to speak, so remember to put your name and any contact details that you want to share (like an email address or website url, etc) on the back of your swap items.

I have created a flickr group, come and join to add your photos of your ATC creations.

I'd like to participate in an ATC swap. If there is a budding group of people interested in a swap, then count me in.

I can see a link which says "Add a Discussion" so I am assuming that we use that to start a new thread for the on going swap.  But is is going to be very boring if only 3 of us are doing it.

I think you just let it happen, so when we are ready to swap do we just say we are ready or do people want to show an image of what they are swapping, or do we want more of a surprise with what we might get.

One-to-one sounds good and I am happy to go with what Helen suggested.  I have no idea how to create the ongoing swap thread, but I'm sure one of you know!

That sounds like a good idea Helen
