Hi Fran and Lynda

I too sell on Folksy and haven't sold a thing in 2 months! I am just keeping optimistic and keep on sewing, I figure that someone somewhere wants to buy what i'm lovingly making.  I have also signed up for 2 craft fairs to see if that gets any money in; one in November and A Christmas one in December.

How about this for a bit of textile tinkering?

I made a piece of flat felt (80x40cm) from merino wool, topped with silk, nepps and torn scrim, then soaked it with CMC paste and manipulated so that it looked like flotsam on gentle waves in the sea.

If you want to learn how to make felt, we have free tutorials on our blog http://www.rosiepink.typepad.co.uk

Hello, everyone!

My blog is http://lazidazi.blogspot.com/ and I'm trying to find a way forward with my art & textiles. Have opened an Etsy shop and not sold a thing and now thinking of Folksy. Anyone have any preferences, experience or thoughts on either?

Does anyone else feel like a tiny drop in this huge internet ocean? : )

Hi Everyone! Looking forward to making contact. I make bespoke bridal and occasionwear using some fabulous textiles - some of which I don't like to cut up! I studied fashion & textiles, but don't have as much time to actually print and create fabrics these days, but its something I'd like to get back to sometime.

My daughter and I are textile artists (free machine stitching on handmade felt) and if you would like to try to make felt, there are some free tutorials on our blog www.rosiepink.typepad.co.uk
