Hi Minnie,

If you want a fairly basic site that you can administer yourself, I can recommend wordpress. If you're not planning on selling, and don't need your own domain name, then wordpress.com - the blogging site - is good - it's easy to create different pages for different aspects of your work, there are loads of templates to choose from and you can create auto-feeds to facebook & twitter etc. If you want to sell, then wordpress.org offers essentially the same package, but you have an e-commerce option (you can't do this on wordpress.com) and you can have your own domain name - but - you need to pay for your domain registration and for hosting - I use hostgator on mine which costs about £5 a month. You can check out my website www.magpies-laundry.co.uk if you like .... good luck!!

Hi, I live just outside Cambridge? My main interests are beads, fabrics, yarns, felt, etc., often combining elements into mixed media work.
Not selling at present, but considering creating my own website.
I would welcome any recommendations, or advice, as I don't really want to create my own, but need a fairly basic one to start with.
Look forward to,hearing from anyone with experience of this. Regards, Minnie
