I thought besides listing on the Events page, maybe we could also list Kent events here to make them easier to find.

Comment by Marie smyth on Saturday Hi Anne. Petition signed. Regards Marie
Comment by Anne McArdle on Saturday Please sign this petition to dissuade the government from reclassifying Craft as a non-creative industry. Craft is a significant creative area. Support Craft and crafters and join me in signing the e-petition.
Comment by Marie smyth on Saturday Hi, I'm Marie and I am in the process of moving to Kent - I will be opening a shop in Walmer over looking the beach (A dream come through) and really want to stock my shop with excellent Kent designed and made items. I have been involved in Arts and Crafts all my life from dabbling with pottery, stained glass, folk art, up cycling furniture and crochet - I'm much better at crochet and love recycling old furniture best......... If anyone is interested I would love to see your work and discuss a way forward, so please get in touch. Marie
Comment by Danny van Wattingen on September 6, 2012 at 19:14 Hello all....I'm Danny and live in Gravesend.....I make mostly Intarsia (3d wood) and design my own patterns and would love to have a stand in the long run somewhere on a craftfair.....and yes like other people have said before, the costs of a stand and the insurance on top of that makes it not doable but orders do keep coming so i don't sit still at all.
Comment by Anna Linley on May 10, 2012 at 18:07 Oh yes, I forgot to say I'm in Seal near Sevenoaks (did live in Chislehurst till we out grew the house). Not all fairs require insurance, it depends on the venue.
Comment by Anna - Inari Design Studio on May 10, 2012 at 12:49 Hi Everyone, I'm based in the Chislehurst area and would love to do some fairs, but finding the right ones is challenging and now with the requirements for insurance, I'm not sure I can justify it. So for the time being I'm selling on Etsy, Folksy, WowThankYou and Facebook! Happy Crafting everyone!
Comment by Anna Linley on May 10, 2012 at 12:27 So far I have done a jewellery party that went well and am planning my next one. I haven't been able to find the right sort of Arts and craft fair locally. Braking even with commissions but no I will not be getting rich anytime soon! :-)

Comment by Anne McArdle on May 9, 2012 at 22:52 Hello
I live near Westerham and I make enamel jewellery and small objects. My trading name is Chart Designs and I have been making jewellery for about six years and decided about two years ago to start selling - there's only so many presents you can give :0) I sell mostly at Arts and Craft fairs. I have learned to avoid "craft and gift" fairs through bitter experience. I will never get rich but having fun creating! :0)
