Knitty Natter

I notice there wasnt really a group dedicated to knitting to chat to other knitters and swap patterns, advice or just gossip in general. So I thought I'd make one! Feel free to get other members involved and get the topics flowing!!

Hi folks.

I've just made a huge change of direction and have given up craft shows so I can concentrate on what I love, which is creating knitting patterns. I've a few published on the net but always worry they are either too simple or too complex!!  At the moment I'm completely inspired by knit and felt!!

Hi everyone. Just coming along to say hello to fellow knitters. Like some others on here, I don't knit to sell, but to relax. I'm best at simple knitting where I can watch TV at the same time! I often bite off more than I can chew when it comes to knitting patterns and end up with abandoned projects that get ripped back, but I see that as a sign of my enthusiasm! Ditto crochet!

Looking forward to connecting on here :)

Hello everyone, I've just joined this site - it looks great.

I have been knitting properly for about 5 years, designing and self publishing for about 2.

I've just started a facebook page:Link and I'd love some feedback on it because I don't really know what I'd doing with it yet!

Hello, I am new too,

So I'm following suit and introducing myself also.

I am also a novice knitter and recently took up knitting while I was sick with Crohns Disease and couldn't work at my computer designing.

I've been learning with my mum who is a tour de force when it comes to anything crafty.

As I own my own menswear company I wanted to develop my own patterns for mittens and other winter accessories and have managed to come up with a winning concoction but I am by no means an expert. It would be lovely to gain knowledge from those more experienced and look forward to hearing more knit related chat soon.

Hi everyone....I'm a newbie in here, so just thought I'd introduce myself.

I was taught to knit by my Mum when I was about 7 or 8 years old.  Had periods where I have knitted all the time, and also periods where I haven't picked up the needles for years.

Just started knitting again, as I need to keep myself occupied whilst 'resting'.  As I'm a sufferer of CFS/ME/Fibromyalgia.....I tend to have to endure long 'rest' periods.

I've just started making my first pair of socks on a set of DPNS so wish me luck.

Hoping to 'chat' with you all soon....diane x

Hi everyone, joined this group yesterday. I've been knitting since I was a girl and have just started selling a few bits and offering knitting as a service. *waves*
