Comment by Louise Hart on May 14, 2012 at 13:13 Hi
I was wondering if any of you would like a stall at our new Handmade Craft & Supplies Show at The John Godber Centre in Hucknall, Notts on Saturday August 18th. We will have handmade crafts and supplies in the main hall with refreshments (rolls, cakes and drinks) and raffle (for MS Society) and downstairs in the studio we will have craft workshops and demo's. Fun activities like face painting and workshops for the kiddies as well. If you are interested in having a stall, want to demo your craft, want to teach others in a mini workshop or specialise in kids crafts/workshops please contact me for booking forms etc. (Tea & coffee free for stallholders)
Please see our facebook events page for more info.

And please forward this on to anyone else you think might be interested
Many thanks

Comment by Paula Newman on April 21, 2012 at 7:29 PLEASE SEND YOUR CARDS NOW!
If i was Bob Geldof and this was the 80's, that's probably what i'd say. But it's not and neither am I.
We are two weeks from our first fair, which is heavily over subscribed, has a diverse range of stall holders and artists in our gallery. What we don't have, yet, is a full card table. We've renamed it the Big Crafty Card Table for reasons i'll explain, but we need more donations. The rules have been simplified, and are...
1) Please send a donation of 10-100 business cards and £2 taped to one of them to Paula Newman, 18 Longnewton Street, Seaham, Co Durham, SR7 7NQ
2) You can send ANY business cards, destash your old ones, and you don't have to be an Etsy member.
3) When we receive your cards, we'll send a URL to give you 50 free Printfinity cards from moo.com
That's it. All proceeds go to the Dawdon community centre at Seaham and it's Adventure Club for kids after school and holiday activities.
You will receive publicity, have your cards photographed for the media, and then have them taken by visitors to the fair who can shop with you after the event itself.
Basically, free promotion, a tiny donation, free cards, more customers, it's a win win win!
We feel that we have limited donations by making it originally a Big Etsy Sellers Card Table, so we've renamed it and have opened the doors to all crafters, artists, designers, makers, craft shops, groups, societies, or anyone sitting at home making something to sell, whether for themselves or for charity.
You don't need to send moo cards, or Etsy shop cards, just your own business cards, postcards, flyers, whatever you use. Whether home made or ones that need updating. If your email has changed, write the new one on, nobody minds.
We need them in the post this week, PLEASE.....
Your help is appreciated. full details on our blog
Comment by Paula Newman on April 2, 2012 at 18:09 Hi everyone. we've decided to make things a little fairer, as our group is based on UKHandmade. You can now donate business cards to our card table event without needing to be an Etsy member. If you're not sure what this means, check out keepcalmevents.blogspot.com or ask Dave the organiser on keepcalmevents@gmail.com
Comment by Paula Newman on March 29, 2012 at 7:21 Has everybody had their free cards from moo.com? Make sure you do, and that means even if you have had free ones from the etsy offer, the Folksy offer or other offers, you can use each one once.
Just in case, here's the ones from us and UKHandmade...

And don't forget, if you are an etsy member, we're still needing donations for the Big Etsy Card Table, so feel free to destash older cards, or send some freebies. keepcalmevents@gmail.com for details or see the blog keepcalmevents.blogspot.com
Thanks
Comment by Catherine Marche on March 24, 2012 at 10:01 I agree, love moo cards too., I use both as in terms of price vista are so much better...
Comment by Chris Jordan on March 23, 2012 at 20:22 Hi, I just got a pack of the Moo.com cards, and very nice they are too. Also very quick, just took a couple of days with the ordinary delivery options. (I have some old "Free" vistaprint cards which were excellent value, but these are much classier with my own photos on them)
Comment by Paula Newman on March 21, 2012 at 9:02 Great blog Nadine, everyone should take a look. I'm trying to get mine into shape, turning it from an occasional rant about sea glass into something more commercial minded.

Comment by Nadine Saupe on March 21, 2012 at 8:26 Hey everybody, another newbie here. Please come find me, my blog could use some more love. And if you were ever thinking of changing your blog url to tidy up your online presence, DON'T. I lost my 140+ followers that way. :( Nadine http://thiscreativebliss.blogspot.co.uk/
Comment by Paula Newman on March 20, 2012 at 9:44 Hi, I'm Dave from KCCO, Paula's partner.
You will have seen Karens message by now but i wanted to say Hi and fill you in about the offer from moo.com
If you've used moo you will know that you can make packs of business cards with different images on the back of each, which for crafters and artists is ideal
I recently secured moo backing for our Big Etsy Sellers Card Table which is a fundraising event at out craft fair on May 5th. We want 1088 etsy shops, at least, to submit their business cards to cover the table and raise a nice sum (min donation £2 a pile) for the community centre.
While organising this deal where any Etsy seller who donates gets 50 free Etsy branded cards to replace ones they send, we were offered the chance to have a free deal for any member of UK handmade to try moo.com - they were excited to learn how many of us there are as moo.com is on a mission to gain market share in the craft and art sector.
Naturally we grabbed the opportunity, and so you're all welcome to go and get 50 cards for just the P&P (£3.90)
Use this link - http://moo.com/link/h89f
You can use both offers if you're an Etsy seller and want to donate. Details are in Karens message, or just ask me and i'll repeat them for you.
Fair details are on keepcalmevents.blogspot.com
thanks for your time.
