UK Handmade

Supporting and promoting the best UK artists, designers and makers

Hi all

Yesterday I had my twitter account hacked. If you get a message from any twitter account saying they have seen a bad blog about you, DO NOT CLICK THE LINK. The link brings up the twitter log in page and it's when you log in they get your password. I spent most of yesterday dealing with the backlash of people saying I had sent them to a phising site. I'm not the only one this has happened to so just be on your guard.

These seem to happen more and more often now- we know about half a dozen that have been got with this already. Thanks for the heads up :)
Thanks for posting this Erika and sorry it's happened to you, its been happening a lot lately - take care everyone!
Thanks Erika...grrrrrrrrrr hackers! Thanks for spreading the word...I have also blogged about this issue here: http://sakurajewellery.wordpress.com/2011/10/06/diary-dont-get-hacked/
Oh dear : ( You dont really expect this sort of thing on twitter but I'm generally suspicious of any DM's with links in them.
Thats great Sakura, putting it on your blog, I have posted wherever I can. It just makes me so sad that people are willing to ruin someones good reputaion, when all we are trying to do is make an honest living.
