Permalink Reply by Helen Stirling on February 9, 2013 at 12:32 I know this is an older discussion but it is sort of what I am asking so dont want to create a new discussion - if you see what I mean.
I have just got a workshop and want to have small group in to make and fire silver, copper and bronze clay. My problem is my husband has just lost his job and therefore a kiln is at the bottom of necessary expenditure and it has to be the right one.
I looked on Cherry Heaven and have boggled at the prices - the cheapest that would take a copper/bronze sintering tray is about £600 - but I know it would need to be more if I needed an enameling collar. I'm getting bogged down in all these terms and wondered if someone could help me work out if I need a small kiln that will manage a small group of people or is a larger kiln more cost effective in the long run?
Thanks in advance,
Helen xx

I've been looking at the copper and bronze clay too, That looks really good.
It is easy to use once you know how and it is fun :)
The only downside i found was the price, especially if you're only just learning how to use it.
