Permalink Reply by jennifer rose mann on February 18, 2012 at 21:54 I made two patchwork flag wall hangings for a window display for a jewellery exhibition by Equinox in Fleet (started yesterday and runs until 14 April).

The wall hangings are for sale at the end of the exhibition.
Permalink Reply by Paula Newman on February 19, 2012 at 16:56 Mine is not so much a make as a find, as i'm loathed to turn it into jewellery. I thought it might interest a few of you as the terms "multi" and "End of day" can be confusing in seaglass jewellery, or collecting. This is the best photo i've taken of a phenomenon that i call flip flop, but there's probably a better term used in academia. Look at the photo, see anything strange? Look again, especially at the reflection...
Surely the green should be at the bottom of the reflected image? No it's no been photoshopped. It's in fact a white sea glass pebble, with a very fine streak of green running through it. Formed when waste glass was melted together into "Gobs" and thrown into the sea at Seaham, this pebble has been ground down and smoothed over 120 or more years, to achieve this amazing effect, then thrown back onto the beach. You're looking at a trick of the light. Reflected light makes whichever half is between the green stripe and your eye look fully green, even in reflection...
I think that's magic, and i don't really want to sell it, but i don't want to drill it later. See more pics on peblsrock.etsy.com, one of my shops.
