UK Handmade

Supporting and promoting the best UK artists, designers and makers

A new but rather lonely Facebook page - can you help cheer it up?

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to Facebook and have just launched a page for my handmade jewellery - http://www.facebook.com/ana.benedicta - if anyone here's on FB and has the time to spare to take a quick look, I'd be so happy if you'd 'like' it or favorite it; it's a little sad and lonely at the moment!

With thanks in advance for your time and help.

Many thanks Midori for stopping by my FB page to 'like' it.  I'm so pleased you like my work.  I had a browse around your blog and I've really fallen for your long-eared rabbit ~ just beautiful :o)

Hi Ana, I 'liked' yours too. Your creation looks lovely!

You're very welcome; it's very hard getting to grips with all the social media opportunities that there are and who knows which ones will pay off in the end - but it's lovely to have such a supportive environment as UK Handmade and even better that we make loads of lovely new friends on the journey.

Wishing you all the very best and I'll keep popping over to your FB page to keep up to date with your beautiful work :o).

Oh that really is kind of you Ana. Still trying to get my head round this 'like' business on FB. Your jewellery is just so lovely and it is good to see your page is looking busy. :)

Hi Jarnie, thanks so much for the supportive comment and really helpful advice - slow but steady and we'll get there :o).

Sarah, thanks so much for the pointer towards Hike Those Likes on FB - it looks like a fabulous opportunity to spread the word about what we're doing; really appreciate you sharing that and I'll certainly let you know how I get on - fingers crossed I do half as well as you did!

Hi Ana, I've visited your page & liked! I'm trying to build mine up too. I've
left you a message on your wall about how to build up
your likes. Visit Hike Those Likes on Facebook. It's a page dedicated
to building your likes up but it's much more than that too. I have nearly tripled
my likes overnight & had a sale! You need to like other
pages in your personal fb account but tag your business
Page. Then they return the like by clicking onto your
Business page. Hope this makes sense! To tag your business page
you need to put @ & then your business name. Good luck & let me know how you get on!

Hi Ana,

Your work is beautiful! I've liked you FB page, and sent you a little message.

I'm new to UK Handmade, and have only recently launched my own FB page and online shop. It seems like a huge challenge to increase your likes doesn't it, but I've actually made quite a few sales, on my online shop, via my FB page, so it does work :-).

Thank you so much Rebecca for your lovely comment and for taking the time to visit and like my FB page; really appreciated.  I have stopped by your page too and I really like your work so a big thumbs up from me. All the very best of luck with your online shop, will be popping by to browse very soon.

Hi Ana,

I'm also new to Facebook and to UK Handmade. I'm going to add a 'like' for you when I get home (cannot access FB at work). I hope that you will be able to return the favour by liking All you need is craft :)

I also have an etsy store and a blog (details below). I hope you don't mind me posting my info...? When you're new to these things it can be difficult to make contacts. I'm hoping that UK Hnadmade can change that :)

Good luck with your jewellery making!
